Shane Arlington

PhD candidate Shane Arlington has been awarded the J.A. Woollam Company Endowed Scholarship from the Society of Vacuum Coaters Foundation. Shane has also received a student sponsorship travel grant from the Society of Vacuum Coaters Foundation to attend the annual conference, SVC TechCon. While attending the conference, Shane will give a talk entitled Nanocalorimetric Investigation of Nucleation in Thin Films. This talk will feature research that Shane conducts in Professor Timothy Weihs lab, in collaboration with Dr. David LaVan at NIST.

John A. Woollam is a distinguished professor of Physics and Electrical Engineering at the University Nebraska. Woollam founded the J.A.
