Professor Hai-Quan Mao has been elected to the National Academy of Inventors’ Senior Members Class of 2021.

Hai-Quan Mao, associate director of the Institute of NanoBioTechnology (INBT) and a professor of materials science and engineering, is known for his work engineering novel nanomaterials for regenerative medicine and therapy delivery applications.

Senior Members are inventors comprised of active faculty, scientists and administrators whose work has produced patents, licensing and commercialization of technology that is or will soon be improving the welfare of society. By educating and mentoring the next generation of inventors and enhancing an inventive atmosphere at their institutions, Senior Members like Mao foster a spirit of innovation throughout their communities.
