A team of undergraduates advised by Prof. Hai-Quan Mao won first place in the BMEidea 2007 Competition sponsored by the National Collegiate Inventors & Innovators Alliance for their work on “Rotavirus Vaccination via Oral Thin Film Delivery.” The judges were unanimous in their choices of finalists and very impressed by the JHU team. The team was honored at the Biomedical Engineering Society’s Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, CA. As the first place academic institution, Johns Hopkins University was honored with the new BMEidea trophy, which is being showcased in the department.
