Program Overview
This program permits EP students to begin a Doctor of Engineering degree before completing their Engineering for Professionals master’s degree. A central feature of the integrated program is that students may intentionally align their EP-master’s coursework with their DEng program of study.
Admissions and Enrollment
Under this new option, EP students can apply for full admission to the Doctor of Engineering program after completing five or more courses in their EP master’s degree program. Once admitted, the student’s primary program switches to the Doctor of Engineering at the next available transition point to the DEng program (either the summer or spring term). Once the student’s primary program is switched to the DEng, the student is charged DEng tuition, and their remaining EP coursework is taken at no additional cost.
Academic Policies
Students in the Integrated MS-DEng program remain subject to the 5-year time-to-completion deadline for the EP master’s degree program, measured from the start of their first EP course to completion of the final course applicable to the master’s degree.
