Probation Policy and Maintaining Good Standing as a Master’s Student
In order to maintain good academic standing, all master’s students (course-only and thesis) must maintain a semester GPA of 3.0.
- Any student whose semester GPA is at or below 3.0 will be placed on probation for the following semester.
- Probation period will last one semester.
- During the probationary semester, a master’s student must complete a minimum of 3 courses that have been approved by their advisor.
- At the end of the probationary semester, if a student’s semester GPA is less than 3.0, the student will be withdrawn from the Civil Engineering Graduate Program. If a semester GPA of 3.0 or above is earned, the student will be placed back in good academic standing.
