Modern infrastructure systems require civil engineers that are innovative and adaptable, and that transcend traditional boundaries. Johns Hopkins University’s Civil and Systems Engineering (CaSE) programs equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in this dynamic environment. As part of our educational programs, undergraduate, masters, and PhD students are invited to attend the department’s annual career fair and network with a wide range of companies looking to hire students for internship and full-time positions. This year’s CaSE career fair featured organizations based in the East Coast’s greater Maryland and Washington, D.C. region, as well as large companies with international offices:

Apex Technology
Brick Industry Association
EBA Engineering
Exponent
JMT
Keast & Hood
Marine Solutions, Inc.
McLaren Engineering Group
Maryland Environmental Service
Maryland Department of Transportation, State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA)
Moffatt & Nichol
Network Connex
Patuxent Engineering Group, LLC
Precision Systems, Inc.
RK&K
Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, Inc.
Skanska
Structural Group, Inc.
The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company
The Wilson T. Ballard Company
Thornton Tomasetti
Turner Construction Company
Walter P. Moore
Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP

Students who participate in the career fair have the opportunity to network with engineers and recruiters from these companies, many of whom are CaSE alumni. These returning alumni are not only looking for future colleagues, but are also eager to contribute to the professional growth of the next generation of engineers. Current students can learn from those who have walked the same halls and faced similar challenges–a unique benefit of our close-knit department that sets CaSE’s programs apart.

In support of the next generation of leaders, innovators, and engineers, CaSE operates as a community committed to our students’ success. Our distinguished faculty, forward-thinking educational programs, and cutting-edge research opportunities offer many unique advantages, like our annual career fair, that provide our students with a transformative academic journey.  The department eagerly looks forward to next year’s career fair where we will broaden our roster of participating employers to include those seeking our systems engineering graduates.
