The Department of Civil and Systems Engineering is very pleased to share with you the news that Lauren Gardner, associate professor in the department, co-director of the Center for Systems Science and Engineering, and affiliated faculty in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, has been named to the BBC’s 100 Women 2020 list, the news organization’s annual recognition of the world’s most influential and inspiring women.
Lauren is being recognized for leading the team that created the interactive web-based dashboard that has become the authoritative source of data for government officials, infectious-disease researchers, media outlets, and the international community at large to track the outbreak of COVID-19.
