
This talk will be a brief overview of MITRE’s GPC Modeling & Analytics team’s work during FY21, with a closer look at the Strategic Awareness Dashboard and potential areas of exploration for 2022.
John K. Pang is a member of the leadership team for MITRE’s Systems Engineering Innovation Center, and currently leads the modeling & analytics efforts for MITRE’s Great Power Competition (GPC) initiative. John is passionate about complexity, STEM education, thinking deeply about simple things, and making connections between people. His areas of expertise span strategy formulation and execution, modeling & analytics, and complex adaptive systems. John holds BS/MS in Electrical Engineering from JHU (go Jays!) and MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Dr. Scott Rosen is the Chief Engineer for the Operations Research Department of The MITRE Corporation with more than 15 years of application experience. His research interests include simulation-based analysis, multi-criteria decision making, and supply chain modeling. He holds a PhD and MS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Pennsylvania State University and a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Lehigh University. He has published in academic journals that cover the areas of Economics, Computer Science, and Operations Research.
