In the Department of Civil and Systems Engineering, we’re all about exploring our built environment through hands-on activities.
- using wind turbine models to study renewable energy and Mola models to simulate the behavior of structures in Civilization Engineered (EN.560.100);
- designing simple smart structures by integrating physical computing with sensors and controls in Electromagnetism and Sensors Lab (EN.560.112);
- developing games around real construction challenges and constraints to improve systems thinking skills related to construction in Design Theory & Practice (EN.560.401).
