On September 30, 2014, the Royal Academy of Engineering of Spain inducted Professor Robert A. Dalrymple as a Corresponding Member. At the ceremony in Madrid, nearly a dozen speakers presented work that was influenced by Dr. Dalrymple’s scientific work or their interactions with him during his visits to Spain or their time as sabbatical visitors in the United States.
The Royal Academy of Engineering’s main function is to promote works and studies that reflect scientific progress in the field of engineering, its technological applications and its operational techniques. It reinforces its international presence through its corresponding members, who, as professionals from a variety of engineering disciplines, have shown exceptional merit over the course of their careers and who reside outside Spain.
