CaSE Researchers Represent the Department during the Space Technology Research Grants (STRG) Program Technology Day on Capitol Hill

December 18, 2019

Earlier this month, CaSE associate professor Jamie Guest, along with PhD candidates Julia Carroll and Alberto Torres, represented their research during the Space Technology Research Grants (STRG) Program Technology Day on Capitol Hill.

The event gives NASA the opportunity to showcase the cutting edge space technologies that are being developed at universities nationwide. Selected STRG researchers described their research and its potential impact on the future of space exploration.

Guest, Carroll, Torres were showing the work completed on an Early Stages Innovation (ESI) grant focused on topology optimization of lightweight, additively manufactured lattice systems for space applications. Additionally, Torres reported on the initial startup of his NASA Space Technology Research Fellowship (NSTRF).
