Yitzhak Snow receives Fulbright Scholarship

Yitzhak Snow, a senior major in Material Science and Engineering, will travel to Freiburg, Germany next year to conduct solar energy research. Working with scientists and engineers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, he will work on creating more efficient and economic solar panels. He will also take classes at the Universität Freiburg on solar technologies to support his research.

Beyond the lab and the classroom, Snow plans to study the German language and to volunteer with local children, teaching them about science and engineering. He also plans to do lots of rock climbing – with indoor clubs and with groups heading into the nearby Black Forest. When he returns to the US, Snow plans to continue researching materials for renewable energy.
