Date: Thursday, April 24, 2014
Time: 1:00 PM EDT

The SABES project will be holding a Webinar, an online forum discussing the SABES program. SABES (STEM Achievement in Baltimore Elementary Schools) is a Johns Hopkins University (Whiting School of Engineering and School of Education) program funded under a NSF grant. The goal of the project is to introduce STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) to elementary school students in grades 3-5 in order to empower their students to view STEM as a way to address issues and concerns within their own communities.
SABES implements a problem-based afterschool curriculum to engage family members and the community in STEM discussions and activities.
