AKITA: Transforming Maternal Care with Comprehensive Monitoring of Pregnancy-related Acute Kidney Injury

Project Description:

AKITA is a remote monitoring device for pregnant people with chronic diseases that provides a comprehensive overview of the patient’s renal health, from 20 weeks gestation until 6 weeks postpartum. The device measures hemodynamic parameters and blood analytes through minimally invasive technology, all in one form factor. The device maps trends of these measurements, functioning as a triaging alert system ahead of acute events and chronic disease progression. The valuable data generated by AKITA can be reviewed by physicians both virtually and during routine prenatal visits.
