Bal Road Guard

Project Description:

The Bal Road Guard is a modular system designed for the automated detection and repair of road damage. It uses a vision-based recognition model and an adaptive classification database to identify potholes and cracks in road images. The system then evaluates the severity of the damage and assigns a repair priority, thereby improving decision-making efficiency.
Its scale robotic architecture paves the way for future autonomous operations, including scanning, drilling, filling and compaction. Phase 1 involves the development of a web-based analysis platform that enables users to upload images and receive real-time detection and prioritization results.
By combining data-driven analysis with modular hardware design, Bal Road Guard aims to minimize manual inspections, reduce response times, and enhance the efficiency of urban road maintenance.
