Project Description:
The Blind Industries & Services of Maryland (BISM) provides opportunities, services, rehabilitation programs, training, and education to blind associates. BISM needs canes for their associates and rehabilitation students, but current cane providers are behind on orders. Our project not only provides canes for BISM, but we’ve also created the manufacturing process to be fully non-visual, allowing the blind associates to be able to manufacture their own canes independently.
