Project Description:

We are working to design a hydrogel-based medical adhesive that can adhere to tissue in dry or wet (i.e. blood covered) environments. Such a product would have various applications in wound treatment and closure. Detailed in this poster are the mechanical testing results of our new hydrogel material system. The results show promise, and this is the first step towards developing a next-generation wound closure device.
