Project Description:

Gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy procedures that require stents either use very expensive metal stents or they use multiple plastic stents in parallel which have to be delivered one at a time, removing the endoscope between each stent placement.
Our goal was to develop a method to deliver multiple plastic stents in parallel without having to remove the endoscope, reducing surgery times and the cost of the procedure.
