FMIC – Foley Microscope Inline Catheter

Project Description:

The goal of FMIC is to produce an inline lens free spectroscopy device capable of performing continuous urinalysis of hospitalized Foley catheter patients. By providing real time data, this device could help reduce the amount of unnecessary time patients spend with a catheter, as well as decrease the overall chances of catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs).
