Wei Jin, a 2022 PhD graduate student and current postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, has been named the winner of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis’ 2023 Leonard J. Savage Award in the Applied Methodology Section.

Named in honor of Leonard J. “Jimmie” Savage, this annual award recognizes an outstanding doctoral dissertation in Bayesian statistics that significantly contributes to the field through innovative analysis of a substantive problem, demonstrating the potential to influence statistical practice in applied settings.
