Title: Introduction to Decentralized Finance
Abstract: Decentralized Finance (DeFi) is an addition/alternative to the traditional financial system to handle financial transactions. The key difference between the traditional financial system and DeFi is the lack of central authority that establishes trust and regulates the financial system. In this talk we will explain the main concept of DeFi and consider three examples: Decentralized Payment Clearing using Blockchain and Optimal Bidding; Pricing by Staking; Axiomatic Automated Market Making.
