Active Flow Control
Active Flow Control
Zero-Net Mass-Flux (ZNMF) actuators or synthetic jet actuators are versatile micro-scale fluidic devices with numerous applications in the field of fluid mechanics. Our group is focused on using DNS and LES to understand the flow-physics associated with ZNMF-based control of flow separation. We are also developing novel reduced-order computational models for these flows.
