A new Johns Hopkins dual degree program will be offered this fall that allows students to earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering and an MBA within five years.
Students pursuing a dual degree will begin with their bachelor’s degree courses at the Whiting School of Engineering during years one through three. In year four, students will be fully immersed in the Carey Business School’s full-time Global MBA program and will complete a summer internship. Year five will cover the remaining coursework for degrees at both schools.
“Johns Hopkins engineering students are extremely entrepreneurial in the way they approach solving problems,” says Whiting School Dean Ed Schlesinger. “They are eager to turn their innovations into products that can have an impact on people’s lives, and the partnership with the Carey School will provide them with the business skills they need to do this.”
In addition to the dual engineering and business degree, the Whiting School collaborates with the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine on biomedical engineering degree programs.
