Digital Accessibility Events at WSE on May 18th, 2023

A monitor displays the text "Designers should always keep their users in mind. Only then can you create truly innovative solutions."

In recognition of Global Accessibility Awareness Day, WSE is raising awareness of digital accessibility and highlighting upcoming training and events. Course content and student-facing university resources are points of contact where we can promote equitable access and inclusion through efforts to ensure accessible digital experiences. This event provides an opportunity to reflect on your content, learn more about digital accessibility, and apply this knowledge.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in these Global Accessibility Awareness Day events:

  •  Register for and attend the May 18th webinar by Prof. Jonathan Lazar
    • Keynote: “Practical Strategies for Enhancing Digital Accessibility at JHU” by Prof. Jonathan Lazar of the University of Maryland
  • Take part in Fix Your Content Day to assess and repair Canvas content accessibility using Ally
    • This is a 24-hour challenge to fix course files and apply digital accessibility best practices to promote greater access and inclusion in courses.

For more information, visit the Accessibility Events page, where you can register for the keynote and view recorded webinars from the recent Be a JHU A11y Event.
