Abdulazeez Mohammed Salim

Data and Autonomy Engineer


Abdulazeez holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering and Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his interests span the fields of robotics, clean energy, aviation, and space.

His past work includes a novel control algorithm for UAV autopilot systems, design and manufacturing of an autonomous ground vehicle, an agile blimp, and a numerically optimized small remote-controlled airplane. He’s also worked on satellite power systems, and taught Math and Physics at the high-school level.

At the MCP, Abdulazeez leads the development of data, compute, and AI infrastructure to support cutting edge materials development and enable the next generation of AI-integrated electron microscopy.

He also supports the day-to-day technology and software systems across the facility.
