The Thermo Scientific Quattro S is an environmental SEM capable of operating in high-vac, low-vac and ESEM modes. It is fitted with a field emission electron source with a voltage range of 0.5 to 30 kV. The instrument is equipped with retractable backscatter electron (ABS/CBS) and cathodoluminescence (CL) detectors, as well as dedicated low-vac and ESEM mode detectors. Additional capabilities include heating (1000°C) and cooling (-20°C) stages. In the future, the instrument will be equipped with EDS and EBSD detectors.
