Policies
Safety
- All users of the MCP will need to take the DMSE safety training as well as Laboratory Safety/ Biosafety Level I & II before receiving training and access to any MCP instrument.
- No food or drink is allowed in any lab room. Only exception is water in a sealed container that is kept away from the instrument.
Use the iLab scheduling system
- Users must reserve a session (at least one hour) in advance, sign in through the kiosk to start their sessions and sign out to end them.
- Using equipment without signing in, or attempting to circumvent the interlocks can result in removal of access and/or disciplinary action
- Users may start “walkup” sessions (with no advance reservation) if the equipment is not otherwise reserved.
- Using the equipment without signing into iLabs is stealing from the MCP which is grounds for rescinding instrument permissions.
