The Partnership began with renovating the two middle school science classrooms at Barclay Elementary Middle School into updated STEM labs outfitted with 3D printers, new laptops and document cameras, focused on science and engineering instruction for students in Grades 6-8. Our STEM programming includes a range of engagement in STEM for the PK-8 students and teachers: campus visits and field trips, in-school classes in computer science, funding of PLTW curriculum for grades 6-8, yearly replenishment of curricular-based science materials for the regular ed science curriculum, professional development, afterschool and summer STEM enrichment classes, and special all-community STEM events.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This ten-year partnership \u2013 begun in School Year 2015-2016 \u2013 offers both in-school and out-of-school STEM programming enriching STEM experiences for underserved students of a PK-8 community school located near&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":24,"featured_media":0,"parent":4260,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-4042","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.7 -
