Malone Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at JHU. She received her BS, MEng, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from MIT in 2006, 2007, and 2012, respectively. She was a postdoctoral associate at both MIT and Yale prior to arriving at JHU. He received his bachelor&#8217;s degree at Vanderbilt University. His technical interests lie at the intersection of applied machine \/ deep learning and graph analysis. His current research projects involve using machine learning applied to neuroimages (fMRI\/MRI\/DTI) to aid in presurgical planning procedures. He is the social and professional development chair of his department in the graduate student association. Naresh also enjoys playing chess, tutoring, and being outdoors. His current research focuses on functional connectivity \u00a0analysis of\u00a0 the latent brain networks of Schizophrenia patients using fMRI. Prior coming to JHU he graduated with First Class Honors from the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jaduniv.edu.in\/\">Jadavpur University<\/a>. Before joining JHU, he received his bachelors (B. Tech) from IIT Guwahati majoring in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. His undergraduate thesis was on keyword spotting and detection for low resource languages.\u00a0His current research focuses on utilizing techniques tools from signal processing and machine learning to analyze and manipulate speech data. In particular, he is working on understanding what aspects of human speech affect its perception of emotion. Also, he is working on developing algorithms to morph speech between different emotions without changing its linguistic content. She received her Bachelor&#8217;s degree (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute to Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. In her undergraduate years, she worked on speech signal processing, deep learning, and computational imaging. She was awarded with Institute Gold medal and Shri Pralhad P Chhabria Award for the best outgoing student in IEEE India Council. She also collaborated with EPFL Switzerland and Pneumoscope, a Switzerland-based start-up, to develop novel machine learning techniques form detecting covid-19 form lung auscultation. She received her Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana, and a Masters in EE from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Most recently, she worked as a psychiatric neuroimaging data analyst in Dr. Johnathan Posner&#8217;s lab at Columbia. Her interests are in multi-modality MR imaging and data alignment for multi-site functional connectomics.
