2017 O' Connor Fund Cohort

Student startups get a boost

Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures and the Ralph S. O’Connor Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Fund has provided funding for six student startups to develop and launch their tech platforms. Five of the six startups in the 2017 cohort involve students from the Whiting School of Engineering.

Washington Post: Students build prosthetic foot for high heels

The Washington Post recently featured a video report about Whiting School mechanical engineering students who designed and built a prosthetic foot that adjusts to fit heels up to four inches high. The student team hopes the invention will help change lives for women who’ve lost a leg or foot to amputation.
