January 9, 2018

Johns Hopkins University’s online program in information technology is listed among the top five nationally in the new U.S. News & World Report rankings of degree-granting online programs, which were released today. Another Hopkins program, engineering, ranks among the top 20.

Johns Hopkins’ online computer information technology program is ranked No. 5, and the online engineering program is ranked No. 19, up from No. 21 a year ago. Both programs are offered by JHU’s Whiting School of Engineering.

U.S. News ranks the nation’s best online graduate programs in seven disciplines, as well as the best online bachelor’s programs. Rankings are determined by five weighted criteria: student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, peer reputation, and admissions selectivity.
