Spicer\" href=\"https:\/\/engineering.jhu.edu\/materials\/faculty\/james-b-spicer\/\">Professor James Spicer<\/a>. Travis received a NASA GSRP fellowship to study the microstructural, chemical, and optical properties of high-temperature nanocomposites that are used in the satellite&#8217;s heat shield.
