Nicholas Gianaris earned his MSE in 1992 and PhD in 1996. Today, Gianaris is the VP of Business Development and General Manager of the Materials Technology Division at Thermacore.
Dr. Robert Oberle earned both his Master’s and PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. As a graduate student, he worked in the research lab of Professor Robert Cammarata. Since graduating, Dr. Oberle has gone on to found Vizinex RFID, which specializes in developing and manufacturing high-performance, durable RFID tags for an array of industries.
I came to Hopkins specifically to work with Dr. Hristova. I met her when I was an undergraduate student when she came for a visit to my undergrad institution. I was interested in her research studying properties of peptides using electrochemical techniques that she developed with Dr. Searson.
My favorite class was computation and programming for materials scientists and engineers. I landed an internship as a data analyst the summer after my freshman year because of the skills I learned from that class alone, so I am forever grateful to Dr. Falk.
