But it&#8217;s been one of the most worthwhile things I\u2019ve ever done, and I love it,\u201d says Sean Young \u201917, speaking of his experiences in the Blue Jay Battalion of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jhurotc.com\/page.php?page=home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Johns Hopkins\u2019 Army ROTC<\/a>, which celebrates its 100th birthday this year.<\/p>\n<p>Army ROTC came to Johns Hopkins in 1916\u201317, after President Woodrow Wilson signed the National Defense Act, which expanded the size and scope of the Army National Guard.
