Sachs Professor of Biomedical Engineering, co-director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/heartadvance.jhu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alliance for Cardiovascular Diagnostic and Treatment Innovation<\/a>, and a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/icm.jhu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Institute for Computational Medicine<\/a>, was <a href=\"https:\/\/hub.jhu.edu\/2019\/06\/10\/women-in-technology-international-hall-of-fame-trayanova\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">inducted into the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame<\/a> in June. Each year, the WITI Hall of Fame selects five women from around the world for this honor.<\/p>\n<p>Trayanova pioneered the use of 3D virtual heart models that are personalized using data from individual patients with ventricular or atrial fibrillation, two types of irregular heartbeats.
