The money raised during the eight-and-a-half-year campaign has been nothing short of transformative. Some highlights, specific to the Whiting School:<\/p>\n<p>During Rising to the Challenge, the Whiting School created:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>67<\/strong> Endowed undergraduate scholarships<\/li>\n<li><strong>34<\/strong> Endowed graduate fellowships<\/li>\n<li><strong>15<\/strong> Endowed professorships<\/li>\n<li><strong>6<\/strong> Faculty scholarships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And received:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>$292,612,735<\/strong> (106% of goal)<\/li>\n<li><strong>26,974<\/strong> gifts under $1,000, totaling <strong>$6,195,065<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>2,525<\/strong> gifts $1,000\u2013$99,999, totaling <strong>$25,017,515<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>65%<\/strong> of gifts came from alumni<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In October, the university&#8217;s $6 billion university-wide fundraising campaign officially came to a close.
