The field experiment was carried out in the center of a circular irrigated field of which half of the circle was planted with corn (120 acres). Planar PIV measurements were carried out just above and within the corn canopy. averages of streamwise component) obtained from PIV images (Runs 61 to 65) is compared to data obtained from Sonic anemometers and Young propellor windvane at different heights above the
