Tamás Budavári is an associate professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics with a joint appointment in the Krieger School of Arts and Science’s Department of Physics and Astronomy. His research focuses on computational statistics, Bayesian inference, low-dimensional embeddings, streaming algorithms, parallel processing on GPUs, scientific databases, and survey astronomy. He earned his doctorate in 2001 at Eötvös Loránd University.
