Dr. Amy C. FosterACF_Portrait
I am an assistant professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the Johns Hopkins University. My expertise is in the nanoscale design and control of silicon-based photonic devices for optical interactions. I work on developing integrated photonic devices for next generation communication systems at both the on-chip and off-chip level. I also have interest in utilizing integrated photonics for lab-on-a-chip applications. I received my M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University in 2007 and 2009 and my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo in 2003.
