Meyer<\/a>, Professor<\/h2>\n<p>Location: \u00a0Barton Hall 310<\/p>\n<p>Office: \u00a0410-516-7003<\/p>\n<p>Office Hours: Monday and Tuesday 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Research Interests:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>theory of convergence for iterative procedures<\/li>\n<li>system level fault models<\/li>\n<li>parallel computer architectures<\/li>\n<li>optimization theory<\/li>\n<li>imaging and image processing<\/li>\n<li>fault tolerant computing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BIOGRAPHY:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"span8\">\n<div class=\"tabbable\">\n<div class=\"tab-content\">\n<div id=\"bio\" class=\"tab-pane active\">\n<div class=\"bio\">\n<p>Dr. Meyer received his PhD in 1970 from the University of California, Berkley and soon joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1972.\u00a0 Meyer is developing (1) synthesis methods for optimization algorithms to be used on large scale, ill conditioned problems; (2) analysis approaches to study the convergence of these algorithms and finally (3) systematic implementation schemes for both synchronized distributed memory and shared memory machines.
