Blumenthal Lecture: Jeff Arnold, Chair and CEO Sharecare
Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus
The 2016 Sydney and Mitzi Blumenthal Lecture and Award for Contributions to Management in Technology program lecture will feature Jeff Arnold, Chairman and CEO of Sharecare. The event is set for 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, in Hackerman Hall B-17 on the Johns Hopkins University’s Homewood campus.
Arnold founded Sharecare, a health and wellness engagement platform he founded with Dr. Mehmet Oz, in partnership with Harpo Productions, Sony Pictures Television and Discovery Communications. Sharecare’s platform helps consumers connect to the knowledge, evidence-based programs and health professionals they need by building each user a platform where he or she can access health resources in ones place.
This lecture series was conceived by Sydney Blumenthal, who earned an electrical engineering degree at Johns Hopkins in 1937 and went on to become chairman of the Blumenthal-Khan Electrical Limited Partnerships, a contracting company based in Owings Mills, Md.
In 1993, he and his wife, Mitzi, endowed the award and lecture to enrich the educational experience at Johns Hopkins. The lecture allows students to hear distinguished speakers talk about subjects such as business management, entrepreneurship, law and ethics, and how these topics apply to engineering and technology.
