His research interests include neuromorphic systems, unconventional parallel processing architectures, machine learning, embedded systems, and acoustic processing.<\/p>\n<p>Mendat earned his PhD and master&#8217;s in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department from Johns Hopkins University in 2017 and 2011, respectively.
