Ekovolt, a startup founded by Emeka Ebo (MS ’03), has partnered with Microsoft to deliver affordable internet access and cloud computing solutions to underserved communities and small medium-sized enterprises in Nigeria.
Through Microsoft’s Affordable Access Initiative, Ekovolt intends to utilize TV white spaces to deploy broadband connectivity.

Approximately 57% of the global population lacks internet access. The Affordable Access Initiative aims to provide 4.2 billion people with the ability to “communicate, find jobs, and pursue local and global passions.”
