Ekovolt logoEkovolt, a startup founded by Emeka Ebo (MS ’03), has partnered with Microsoft to deliver affordable internet access and cloud computing solutions to underserved communities and small medium-sized enterprises in Nigeria.

Through Microsoft’s Affordable Access Initiative, Ekovolt intends to utilize TV white spaces to deploy broadband connectivity.

“We have always been passionate about providing the very best possible wireless broadband and technology services at the most affordable prices, so we are incredibly proud to be a part of this noble initiative as we truly believe in this and commend Microsoft for leading affordable access globally,” says Ebo.

Approximately 57% of the global population lacks internet access. The Affordable Access Initiative aims to provide 4.2 billion people with the ability to “communicate, find jobs, and pursue local and global passions.”
