Message from the Chair

Thank you for your interest in the Doctor of Engineering program. We are pleased to respond to the need for a professional, practical doctoral program in engineering.

Our program is unique and has been thoughtfully designed with professional students in mind.

The program provides an exciting advancement avenue for professional engineers interested in technical leadership roles in industry and the public sector.

Your work in the program focuses on an actual project arising at your company or agency, allowing you to have a direct and immediate impact. Online coursework, semiannual in-person conferences, and dedicated advising round out the student experience.

Our program is centered on research and innovation.

Under the close mentorship of your Whiting School engineering professor, your creative energy is honed to tackle thorny technical problems. You will graduate better prepared to tackle real-world engineering challenges.

Our program is non-residential, but that does not mean we are “remote.”

We work closely with our students to attend to their individual needs. Indeed, in that spirit, please feel free to contact me to set up a time to talk about your interest and to learn how the Doctor of Engineering program can help you achieve your goals.

Sincerely,
