Ralph Hubbell has over fifteen years of ESL and writing teaching experience, more than eight of which he’s spent overseas. He has taught a variety of student populations, from middle-schoolers to adults, in a number of locations, including New York City, Oklahoma, Costa Rica, Mexico and Turkey. He is also a writer and a translator (from the Turkish), with work appearing in such publications as Tin House, Words Without Borders and Asymptote, among others. His translation of Turkish writer Oğuz Atay’s story collection Waiting for the Fear will be published by NYRB Classics in 2022.
