His lab is interested in how metabolic dysfunctions link to major diseases, including cancer. His lab focuses on developing technologies to detect metabolic biomarkers and\/or dysfunctions and identifying the underlying mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p>Jeong received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Korea and a master of science and a PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He completed his postdoctoral research at Massachusetts General Hospital\/Harvard Medical School with Ralph Weissleder, MD\/PhD and Hakho Lee, PhD, and later, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with Kayvan Keshari, PhD.<\/p>\n<p>Jeong is a recipient of the NIH Pathway to Independence Award (K99\/R00), Hollis Brownstein Research Award (Leukemia Research Foundation), and the NIH Maximizing Investigators\u2019 Research Award (R35).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Secondary Appointments:\u00a0<\/strong>Oncology Center<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-1301","people","type-people","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.9 -
