Our Program is Accredited<\/h2>\n

The BS program in in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET,\u00a0https:\/\/www.abet.org<\/a>, under the General Criteria and the Program Criteria for Chemical, Biochemical, Biomolecular, and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.<\/p>\n

Program Educational Objectives<\/h3>\n

Recent graduates of the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering program will attain within a few years of graduation:<\/p>\n

  1. Succeed in careers in industrial, academic or government organizations in which they apply their chemical and biomolecular engineering skills to solve diverse long-standing or emerging problems<\/li>\n
  2. Excel in their graduate program, medical school or other professional education<\/li>\n
  3. Be recognized as future leaders in their chosen field<\/li>\n
  4. Perpetuate the JHU legacy of passion for learning, technical excellence, community service and research innovation to foster knowledge creation, lead discovery, and impact society.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Students graduating with a B.S. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering demonstrate:<\/p>\n

    1. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.<\/li>\n
    2. An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.<\/li>\n
    3. An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.<\/li>\n
    4. An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.<\/li>\n
