Find a spot. If you are interested in joining the <a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.jhu.edu\/case\/research\/\">research groups<\/a> as a postdoctoral fellow, please contact the particular <a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.jhu.edu\/case\/faculty\/\">faculty member<\/a> inquiring if there is any opportunity available.<\/p>\n<p>Step 2. Provide your documents. If you were invited to join us, please contact <a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.jhu.edu\/case\/people\/staff\/\">Academic Program Administrator<\/a> and provide the following documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CV<\/li>\n<li>Letter of Intent<\/li>\n<li>Department Data Form (*international students \u2013 the form can be partially filled at the beginning of the process)<\/li>\n<li>OIS Form (only for international students)<\/li>\n<li>Photo for the website<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Step 3. Sign the appointment letter. The Department will initiate the hiring process. The U.S. government requires all employers to verify eligibility to work for each person they hire. As part of that verification process, a <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaffairs.jhu.edu\/studentemployment\/student-information\/handbook\/i-9\/\">I-9 Form<\/a> must be completed by all employees.<\/p>\n<p>*International students will have to provide also:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed Department Data Form (see step 2)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ois.jhu.edu\/University_and_Community_Resources\/Legal\/Social_Security_Information\/\">SSN<\/a>. A Social Security card is required for everyone who works in the U.S., even non-immigrants. On the card will be your unique Social Security Number (SSN) that you will keep for life. There is a temporary ID will be provided for hiring purposes. However, you will have to apply for the original SSN which is issued once per lifetime.<\/li>\n<li>Completed the <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaffairs.jhu.edu\/studentemployment\/student-information\/handbook\/i-9\/\">I-9 Form<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaffairs.jhu.edu\/studentemployment\/student-information\/handbook\/i-9\/\">FNIF<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Employment: How to Apply and What to Provide Step 1.
