The comprehensive exam covers topics learned throughout an undergraduate program in civil engineering, from basic mathematics to civil engineering-specific topics in structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineering. To emphasize the importance of the exam, and the prudence of taking the exam while still engaged in one\u2019s undergraduate studies, beginning with the class of 2020, taking the FE exam will be a requirement for graduation from our program.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the PE Exam, which is state-specific, you may take the FE exam in any state. The computer-based exam is administered at Pearson VUE testing centers throughout the year. Click <a href=\"http:\/\/ncees.org\/engineering\/#maryland\">here<\/a> for more information about the exam and to register.<\/p>\n<p>Review books are available for loan from the department or for purchase from the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ncees.org\/\">ncees.org<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ppi2pass.com\/\">www.ppi2pass.com<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The department will reimburse undergraduate students for the cost of taking the exam if you bring your receipt to the main office (Latrobe 201).
