Congratulations to Somnath Ghosh<\/a>, the Michael G. Callas Chair Professor in the Department of Civil and Systems Engineering, has been named a Fellow of The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society (TMS). This honor recognizes members who have made outstanding contributions to the practice of metallurgy, materials science, and technology. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Somnath\u2019s research focuses on computational mechanics of materials and structures with a focus on multi-scale structure-materials modeling and simulations, multi-physics modeling and simulation of multi-functional materials, materials characterization, process modeling, and emerging fields like integrated computational materials engineering.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
